A flood of letters and a small towns caring spirit launched Robbie Lucas drive to be set free from a life sentence to be indoors during daylight hours. Robbie, who has EPT, a rare disease that causes his skin to burn and blister after only a few minutes in the sun, could not play outside in the daylight with his friends. So, after hearing about the NASA-SPF® sun suit, his friends rallied behind him to get him a sunsuit of his very own. This is a story about giving back the joys of childhood to a boy in a small town in Pennsylvania thanks to the Solar Protective Factorys pioneering efforts in sun protective clothing with technical support from NASA.
