   the spf actually tells you how long you can stay in the sun with protection. And it also depends on the amount you apply to get the adequate protection for that amount of time. It is recommended that you apply generously. And your right a lot of sunscreens will “claim” they have uva/uvb protection but you have to take a look at the ingredients to determine if it has the right kind of protection.
