What is the longest I can be in the sun without protection?

Posted by admin

I am light olive complection (I tan fairly easily), I am trying to avoid wrinkles. I was just outside in the sun for like 20 minutes, is that too much?

Experts say that you should never leave your home without sun protection. You can burn in as little as 5 minutes.

Where should I go to get screened for skin cancer?

Posted by admin

I think I may have skin cancer. Do I just go to my regular doctor to get the mole in question checked, or should I go elsewhere? Thanks.

a dermatologist is likely your best bet, since skin is their specialty. But dermatologists are specialists, so check your ins coverage- you may need a referral from your reg doc to get an appointment with one, for ins purposes. Good luck.

What is the best non oily sunscreen that provised complete protection from the sun?

Posted by admin

My skin gets really pigmented in the sun…i heard that Olay complete protection is a good one…but is it useful for oily skin?

They just showed the best on TV last night. Let me think….. Can't remember the names, but they highlighted 3 ingredients that you should look for: Avobenzone (Parsol 1789), zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide.

How sunburnt do i have to be to get skin cancer?

Posted by admin

I was sitting in the sun for about an hour today and got a sunburn on my legs. My skin is more firm than before the burn and it's a bit raised. Is it possible im developing skin cancer or is it a normal sunburn. Im not peeling or anything.

A sunburn does not cause instant skin cancer. The damage done to your skin today can and will cause skin cancers to occur 5-10-15-30 years from today.
